Obituary

NORTH ANDOVER – Ann Frances (LaPoint) Finocchio of North Andover was born October 30, 1929 in Somerville and lived here until her marriage . She was the wife of Joseph Finocchio who predeceased her. They lived in Boston until moving to Danvers in 1959 and moved to North Andover in 1970. She is survived by two loving daughters Denise Finocchio of North Andover and Francine Cecieta of Beverly, as well as, her beloved grandchildren Mark Cecieta and Kendra Hewitt and her husband Dr. Ryan Hewitt, all of Danvers. She also fondly leaves behind her "granddogs" Daisy and Huckleberry. Ann is also survived by her oldest sister Helen Bontorno of Danvers and many nieces and nephews. She had two other sisters and three brothers who have all passed prior to her.

Ann was very devoted to her family. She enjoyed times with her family, dancing, travelling, and trips to Foxwood. She had worked in manufacturing for about 20 years at Sylvania Danvers & other companies.

In 1969 she became a bank teller at Security National Bank in Danvers. After a few years the President Bob Sheeran, after observing her work ethic and excellent customer service, promoted her to a bank manager. This was a great honor since at the time there were very few women business managers especially in banking. Ann treated her customers like extended family members. She served at branches in Danvers, West Peabody, and Swampscott during her 20-year career with the bank which eventually after several mergers became Bank of New England. Ann retired in 1989 to enjoy more time being with her family and travelling. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Parkinson's Association or Lewey Body Dementia Association.
