Obituary

BEVERLY - Mrs. Diana (March) Dahlquist, 87, of Beverly, beloved wife of the late Dr. John T. Dahlquist, died very peacefully, surrounded by her family, on December 3, 2017, at the Herrick House, Beverly, MA.

Born and raised in Medford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Charles N. and Mildred M. (Vaupel) March. She was a graduate of the Bridgeton Academy, Bridgeton, ME. Diana continued her education receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Music from Boston University. She was an educator at both the elementary school and college levels.

Diana was a force of nature who could prepare a dinner for dozens of guests on a moment's notice and provide piano accompaniment to any song they wished to sing. She and her husband were enthusiastic world travelers who loved nothing more than sharing trips with their grandchildren, friends, and student groups.

A warm and caring friend and mother, Diana is survived by her daughter, Elisabeth and husband Paul Babcock of Wenham, MA; son, Richard Dahlquist and wife Christie of Montpelier,OH; son Eric Dahlquist and wife Michele Houtz-Dahlquist of Houston, TX; sisters, Claire King of Sidney, NY, and Priscilla Bromaghim of Wilmington, MA; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
