Obituary

NASHUA, NH – Mr. Joseph B. "Joe" Ercha, 76 of Nashua, New Hampshire, formerly of Salem, MA husband of Dolores C. (Gauthier) Ercha passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH.

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ann (Strusa) Ercha. Raised and educated in Salem, he was a graduate of Salem High School, class of 1959. Joe continued his education at Burdett College.

An honorable discharge veteran, Joe proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Ercha dedicated his entire professional career within the Banking Industry working at various banks throughout the North Shore. He excelled in his career as a Credit Analyst and Branch Manager working at Security National Bank in both Danvers and West Peabody and most recently Beverly Cooperative Bank until the time of his retirement.

A loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather, Joe was happiest when with his family. He had a great love for historical artifacts and knowledge and enjoyed listening to all types of music. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his wife Dolores of Nashua with whom he shared nearly 50 years of marriage, Joe is survived by his daughters; Suzanne R. Sarni and her fiancé Christopher J. Luiz formerly of Mashpee, Danielle M. Lebel and her husband Brian of Ludlow, Laureen N. Fish and her husband Richard of Sandwich and Jocelyn A. Phillips and her husband Nathan of Manchester, NH, his 6 grandchildren; Cassie and Caitlin Lebel, Cortlandt, Hannah and Lucy Fish and Emerson Phillips, his sisters; Joanne M. Valliquette of Lynn and Julianne M. Galonzka of Walpole and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral Mass will be held in St. John the Baptist – Ukrainian Catholic Church, 124 Bridge St., Salem on Wednesday, April 11th at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (rte. 62) Danvers on Tuesday, April 10th from 4 to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Joe's memory to St. John the Baptist – Ukrainian Catholic Church, Salem.
