DANVERS – Mr. Stanley J. Mscisz, 87, of Danvers, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by loved ones, on Sunday, June 3, 2018, following a long illness.

Born in Danvers, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Babiarz) Mscisz. He was raised and educated in Danvers and attended Danvers Schools.
As a young man, Stan helped his mother on their family farm after the passing of his father and also worked at the family restaurant, the Mscisz Drive In, where he prepared the homemade ice cream and served Polish Food. In addition, he sanded for the state of Massachusetts during the winter. Mr. Mscisz had been employed for over 30 years as a foreman with the Archdiocese of Boston, Catholic Cemeteries Division, at St. Mary's Cemetery in Salem until the time of his retirement. He retired to spend his remaining years traveling, woodworking, taking pride in his yard, and enjoying time with his large, loving family.

A true family man, Stan was the devoted husband of Margaret C. (Russell) Mscisz with whom he celebrated 61 years of marriage.

In addition to his loving wife, Stan is survived by his six devoted children, Stanley Mscisz Jr and his wife Cindy of Beverly, Anne Hoffman and her husband Arthur of Middleton, Teresa Mscisz of Peabody, Peter Mscisz and his wife Beckie of Middleton, Richard Mscisz of Middleton, and Paula Elster and her husband John of S. Hamilton, his 12 grandchildren, his 12 great grandchildren, who will all miss him dearly. He is also survived by his siblings, Louis, Paul, Alfred and Chester Mscisz and Jeanette Lebel, several nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, sisters-in-law, Edna Choquette, Kathy Cross, Priscilla Nickerson and Eileen Russell and many friends. He was the brother of the late Eleanor (Mscisz) Walor.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Thursday, June 7th, at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours Wednesday, June 6th from 4 to 7 P.M., In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Stanley's memory to Care Dimension, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
