PEABODY – Mrs. Maureen Theresa (Douglas) Cibelli 87, of Peabody, beloved wife of the late Raffaele Cibelli, died Friday, June 2nd, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, following a lengthy illness.

Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late John and Annie (O'Neill) Douglas, sister of the late Kevin, Richard, John, Jimmy, Kate, Greta, Carmel, and Brendan, and dear friend to the late Pat Barron. Maureen met Raffaele in London, England, and following their marriage in Dublin, they would soon immigrate to the United States, where they would reside in Boston's North End, then East Boston, and finally settling in Peabody, where they would raise their family. Maureen was dearly devoted to her family, who were the entire focus of her life and energy. She forever mourned the loss of her son Ralph Cibelli and her daughter Lisa Diamond. She was a kind and caring mother, and she will be deeply missed.

Maureen is survived by her daughter, Angela Puzzo of Middleton, her son, Phillip Cibelli and his wife Anita of Lynnfield, her grandchildren, Michael, Alyssa and Joseph Cibelli, Anthony Puzzo, PJ Diamond and Ryan and Jessica Ouellette, her great-grandchildren, Craig and Payden Diamond, her dear friend Rose O'Hare and several nieces and nephews and extended family in the U.S. and Ireland.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral services are private. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers.
