Our condolences from the Barrett family. Although we moved from Middleton a long time ago I remember Mr. Jones as always working, always happy and always had a kind word for me.

Thank you Earl and Janet for your years of friendship......one we truly treasure. You gave us so many fun memories and you were a shining example of how to treat people.
To touch on just a few examples, we remember you driving us around the steep hills of Catalina Is., CA in the golf cart and another time in Linda and Al's jeep around The Superstition Mts. for our "white knuckle" drive where there were no barriers at the edges of the cliffs. Then there were the Navy reunions you attended with us, especially the one in Reno, NV with Al and Janet being the "lucky" ones.
Thank you also for hosting so many at home meals/barbecues and all the visits we shared back and forth from Apache Junction to Buckeye (Verrado), AZ.....not to mention the trips to the lake where we too once lived. You deserved a medal for listening to all of Al's jokes and stories....but you had a few of your own to share as well.
We knew we could always call you if a favor was needed and knew you'd be there. And giving "Marty" to you (via Diane and Barry) turned out to be one of the joys of your life. Hard to replace your other dog "Douglas" but in time you two were something when you even "spoke" on the phone to each other! I could go on and on but just being our friends was enough. Two old post office buddies shootin' the breeze and chatting also about our beloved town of Middleton, our adult kids and anything else we happened upon. As Bob Hope used to say....."Thanks for the memories". We loved you Earl. Life won't be the same without you......that's for sure. Fair Winds and Following Seas.
