CARY, NORTH CAROLINA – Mr. Robert J. "Bob" Jalbert 53, of Cary, N.C and Peabody, died Saturday, December 15, 2018 unexpectedly at his home.

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Robert J. Sr. and Madeline (Reppucci) Jalbert. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, class of 1983. He continued his education at UMASS- Lowell where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Mr. Jalbert was a trained and expert Adhesive Chemist and worked for many years with Bostik, and more recently with Henkel Adhesive Technologies.

Always a smile on his face and a laugh to be had, Bob's easy-going personality endeared him to many. He enjoyed playing softball as a younger man for Lonnie's and in the Men's Softball League and made many friends as a member of the Men's Bowling League. He was a zealous Boston sports fan and loved to cheer on his favorite Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots. He had a passion for the outdoors and would take long walks to enjoy mother nature's beauty. His greatest joys were his ability to make others laugh and smile, and above all else his children. He was a loving father who will be deeply missed.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Brooke Jalbert of Peabody, his son, Derek Jalbert of Peabody and many extended family members, including his special cousins, whom he considered siblings, Margaret Reppucci and her partner Alberta Cowles of Florida, Maryann Neff and her husband Warren of Florida and Anthony Reppucci and his wife Sallye of Alabama.

Condolence & Memory Journal

I heard about Bob's passing in December, but did not find this page until today. We shared a lab and Bob always had the local sports radio station blaring as he worked. He was always talking about Brooke, and shared his concerns when Derek was born prematurely. He updated us as Derek progressed in his development and when he returned home from he hospital. Bob was a hard worker and always impressed me with his desire to help our customers.

Brooke and Derek
I worked with your Dad at Sovereign around the time it became Henkel East with an amazing group of people. Your Dad always spoke of you both and was very proud. He was such a goofball. I went to lunch one day only to return with a note on my office door which read D&B Deli he always joked that I should open a sub shop as I had worked in a school cafeteria before going to Sovereign. I still to this day miss my coworkers from back then. This is the kind of jokester he was when I left Henkel this is the send off sing he was holding ! Lol He will be missed

My deepest sympathy to Brooke and Derek. I worked with your Dad at Bostik and he helped me secure a job at Soverigen/Henkel years later. He was so much fun to work with and I cannot count the times he made everyone laugh uncontrollably! He made work so enjoyable. He always talked about his awesome children. I knew you were his whole world. He will be deeply missed.
