Condolence & Memory Journal

Uncle David was an iconic figure to me growing up. He had a warmth about him that you rarely see in people, and as a child I always wanted to be just like him. He was that uncle that could get down on the ground and play cars with you and then later take you out on the ocean, or teach you about computers and ham radio. I'll always remember the awesome custom van! I love you Uncle David, I wish we had more time together as adults.

Dave was always game to fish and hang out on the water .he was a lot of help on building codes and construction projects .we both kept in touch thru the seasons and hung out with shadow and max, yes our dogs were friends also .he will be missed.

Dave was a good friend to myself and many others. He was a ham radio operator, also an active member of the Pentucket Radio Association. Dave and I spent many times camping at the Deerfield Fair grounds participating in the biannual NEAR-Fest amateur radio gathering. Dave was a prime mover in maintaining the radio club's repeater so people all around New England could communicate. I will miss him especially drinking beer and smoking cigars at ham radio events.

Donna. Words cannot express how I feel. I am so sorry for your loss. Dave was a GREAT person. I smile when I think of the times I gave you a ride home and you said Dave would get you at my house...and he did! Thinking now I'm glad he did because I was able to see him and chat with him! I am always here for you. Another memory was seeing you both at Market Basket. If I saw you first... you would say Dave is at the deli. If I saw Dave first he would say... I don't know where she is right now! Love you both. My prayers are with you and your family.

Donna, you are in my thoughts & prayers. I'm so sorry for your loss. I have known you for many years through my sister Colleen Walke. But i met David thru his many visits to Beverly City Hall. I always enjoyed our conversations.. He was funny & kind always. When we spoke of you, his eyes lit up and he always smiled. Much love to you & your family today and in the days to come. Love, Leanne Cassidy.
