Message From The Family

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please enhance this tribute to Wayne by adding your memories and photos.

QUINCY - Mr. Wayne T. Ronan, 66, of Quincy, formerly of Salem, passed away on Monday May 6, 2019 at the Worcester Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Salem he was the son of the late Edward "Hawk", Sr. and Virginia (Hall) Ronan. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School.

A loving and dedicated father and grandfather, Wayne was most proud of his family and adored his daughters. Mr. Ronan was also a very proud new grandfather; his smile always seemed to be the biggest when he was holding his new grand baby in his arms. Wayne was most known for his big heart and infectious personality. He was always making friends wherever he went. He was a free spirit of the "Gallows Hill Gang" and was a devoted New England sports fan. He loved watching his favorite sports team, the Red Sox, and even in his very last days you could find him in his room with his hospice nurses, watching the many teams he loved since he was little. Wayne was always the first person to help those in need, something that was important to him and that he instilled in his daughters at a very young age. Although Wayne is finally at peace, he will be so very deeply missed by his loving family, and many friends.

Surviving Wayne are his daughters, Murphy F. Ronan of Worcester and Erin J. Ronan and her fiancé Nicholas Cooney of Dudley, his step-daughter, Jill Diorio of Uxbridge, his granddaughter, Maeve Athena Cooney of Dudley, his siblings, Katherine Harrington of Hampton, NH, Peter Ronan of Salem and Norma Eon of Salem and several nieces and nephews. He was also the husband of his soulmate; the late Laureen White and brother of the late James, Joseph, Edward "Hawk" Jr., Ronan and Joanne (Toby) McGlone.
