DANVERS-Mrs. Elizabeth C. (Rehal) Dlugokinski, 96, of Danvers formerly of Peabody and Salem, beloved wife of the late Stephen Dlugokinski, passed away Friday June 28, 2019 at Hathorne Hill Healthcare, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Salem she was the daughter of the late Charles and Josephine (Slimak) Rehal. She was raised and educated in Salem, attending the Phillips School and graduating from Salem High School.

Mrs. Dlugokinski had been employed as an assembler for GTE Sylvania at their Loring Ave. facility for over 41 years until the time of her retirement in 1985. She was a dedicated employee and was known for her strong work ethic and attention to detail.

A longtime resident of Salem and Peabody, Elizabeth was an original "Derby Streeter" who embraced her neighborhood; she loved to fish off Pickering Wharf, the beach and going to Salem Willows, she was an active communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Peabody and belonged to the Sylvania Quarter Century Club. Elizabeth was an avid baseball fan and the quintessential Red Sox fan who rarely missed a game.

A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, Elizabeth enjoyed being with her family. She loved creating memorable times for her family to carry forward and was always there to share advice and offer guidance. Always ready and available, Elizabeth never turned down and opportunity to attend and share in her grandchildren's many events and activities. She was truly their biggest fan and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Surviving Elizabeth is her daughter Janice Johnson and her husband George of Florida, her granddaughters, Dianne Anderson and her husband Steven of Merrimack, NH and Mary Nadeau of Peabody, her grandson Michael Johnson and his wife Denise of Peabody, her grandson-in-law Brian Nadeau of Groveland, her eight great grandchildren, and great-great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service which will be held graveside in St. Mary's Cemetery, North St., Salem, on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 11 A.M.
