SALEM – Mr. Richard Daffe, 56, of Salem, died Saturday, July 6th, 2019 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Robert and Marie (Carr) Daffe. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem high School, Class of 1980.

Mr. Daffe had worked for many years as a Heavy Equipment operator and Class A Truck Driver. He worked in the paving industry for many years and was currently employed with Atlantic Paving Corp until the time of his illness.

A lifelong resident of the City of Salem, Richard was a skilled mechanic and enjoyed spending his time working on cars and building engines. He was an avid New England Patriots football fan and was truly passionate about his career. He will be deeply missed.

Richard is survived by his sons, Matthew Daffe of Salem, Nicholas Daffe of Haverhill and his twin boys Benjamin Daffe and Brad Daffe both of Danvers, his beloved granddaughter Lily, his 2 sisters, his one brother and several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. He was predeceased by a brother and sister and his nephew Wayne Daffe.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in The O'Donnell Funeral Home, 46 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem, Thursday, July 11th from 5 to 8 P.M. All other services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's memory to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
