Message From The Family

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please enhance this tribute to Jimmy by adding your memories and photos.

BEVERLY - Mr. James T. Turcotte, 55, of Beverly, formerly of Salem, beloved husband of Christine (LeBlanc) Turcotte, passed away peacefully October 4, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Beverly, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ruth (Furey) Turcotte. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1983.

Mr. Turcotte had been employed by the City of Salem as the Water Department Foreman for 17 years. For the last 10 years he worked for the City of Beverly, as a Project Coordinator, where he was well respected for his high standards, strong work ethic and his ability to accomplish any task that needed to be completed.

He was a dedicated family man, who was passionate about providing for his family. Jim was a jack of all trades and was always willing to lend a hand, and could often be heard saying "If Jim don't do it, it don't get done". He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who appreciated the time he spent surrounded by his family vacationing at Sebago Lake or on trips to Disney. Jim was overjoyed by the birth of his grandchildren who fondly called him Papa. In his younger years he could often be found boxing at the AOH in Salem or more recently at a poker table. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends.

Surviving Jim, in addition to his wife Christine with whom he shared 31 years of marriage, are his children; Jamie Martin and her husband Sean of Topsfield, Ruth Turcotte, Sara Turcotte and Joseph Turcotte all of Beverly, his granddaughters, Ava and Leah Martin of Topsfield, his brothers; Joseph Turcotte and his wife Linda of Peabody, John Turcotte and Thomas Turcotte both of Salem, his sisters; Deborah Phelan and her husband Brian of Salem, Ellen Hanson and her husband Scott of Salem, Sharon Hickman and her husband John of Newburyport and Ruth Grube and her husband Dennis of Peabody, his sister-in-law Cynthia LeBlanc of Beverly, his aunts Judith Kline and her husband Larry of Peabody, and Rita (Darcy) Turcotte of Salem and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank his many friends that provided Jim with years of love and support.
