Tribute & Message From The Family

Message From The Family

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please enhance this tribute to Margaret by adding your memories and photos.

BEVERLY - Margaret Virginia (Pisani) Mirandi, 106, a lifelong resident of Beverly, passed away peacefully January 15, 2020, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, with her family at her side.

Born in Beverly, November 9, 1913, Margaret was the daughter of the late Michael and Rose (Yadisernia) Pisani and the beloved wife of the late Beverly police officer Raphael "Tido" Mirandi with whom she shared 44 years of marriage. Although she never completed high school, she was a hard worker and a successful Beverly business owner. Together with Tido and her twin sister Evelyn, and brother-in-law, Anthony Mobilia, she was the co-owner of the 1886 house. She also co-owned and operated Pisani's Market and the Rantoul Cafe. In her younger years she worked painting the soles of shoes in an Ipswich shoe factory, a job which she was always happy to tell you stories about.

Margaret loved gin rummy games with family and friends, reading Harlequin romance, and going out to eat with family. Margaret will always be remembered by her two favorite sayings: "It takes two, two, two to tango" and "What's going on?"

Survivors include her devoted daughter Evelyn and her husband John (Tom) Boudreau with whom she resided in Beverly; her grandchildren, Margaret "Peggy" and her husband, Richard Kelley, and John Boudreau Jr. and his wife Christin Boudreau, all of Beverly; great-grandchildren, Megan and Sarah Kelley and Hunter and Trase Boudreau; sister Vera Flint of Beverly; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, especially Richard, Caren and Janice Levesque who were always by her side. She also leaves her step grandchildren, Carrie Dalton, and Mary, Danny, Henry, and Tony Sullivan.
Margaret was pre-deceased by her beloved son Mark T. Mirandi, and his wife Sally Mirandi; two brothers Anthony Pisani and Michael Pisani Jr., and 9 sisters: Ernestine Pinciaro, twin Evelyn Mobilia, Josephine Cookson, Yolanda Essler, Helen Rossi, Olga Stewart, Gloria Durkee, Rosemary Pisani, and Shirley Levesque.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held from the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Saturday, Jan. 18th at 10 A.M. Followed by her funeral Mass in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Cabot St., Beverly at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Beverly. Visiting hours Friday, Jan. 17th from 4 to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Margaret's memory to Kaplan Family Hospice House, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923. My heart goes out to Margaret's family and friends. She was so special. From the time I moved next door 11 years ago, she was always welcoming and loving to my family. My favorite memory of her is our waving and blowing kisses back and forth as she sat at her dining room table reading and I would be getting in my car.

What a wonderful woman. Margaret was always a ray of sunshine waiting next door when I came to visit my parents. My thoughts are with your family.
