DANVERS-Ms. Norma L. Brown, 89, of Danvers, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Kaplan Family Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Danvers, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Lois (Sweeney) Brown. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School Class of 1948.

Ms. Brown had been employed as a bookkeeper at Gourdeau Construction for 25 years where she was known for her attention to detail, her dedication and strong work ethic. Never one to be idle, following her retirement Norma worked part time for Neary Welding for an additional 12 years.

Norma was a loving sister and aunt, who enjoyed being with her large family and was happiest surround by her numerous nieces and nephews. She loved being involved in their lives and sharing their many activities and milestones.

A lifetime resident of the Town of Danvers, Norma enjoyed baking which she would share with the local Firemen and Police officers. She was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed baseball and football. Norma will be deeply missed by her loving family and many friends.

Surviving Norma is her sister Susan Harrison and her husband James of Beverly and her brother Paul Brown of Danvers, her Sister-in-law Ann Marie Brown of Danvers and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Jacqueline Getchell, Evelyn Fleming, Bette Best, Patricia Frohman, Roger Brown, Richard "Dickie" Brown, Earl Brown, Robert Brown and Thomas Brown.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) Danvers on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Visiting hours Monday, February 17th from 4 to 7 PM. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Norma's memory to Kaplan Family Hospice House, C/O Care Dimension, 75 Sylvan St. Danvers, MA 01923.
