BEVERLY – Mrs. Kathleen L. (Young) Auld, 87 of Beverly, beloved wife of the late Gordon R. Auld passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Hunt Nursing and Rehabilitation in Danvers.

Born in Dover, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Elizabeth (O'Neil) Young. Raised and educated in Dover, she was a graduate of Dover High School, class of 1950. Upon her graduation, Kathleen continued her education at Salem Hospital School of Nursing.

A natural caretaker, Kathleen spent her entire professional career at Salem Hospital as a registered nurse where she was known for her skillful ability to tend to her patients. She dedicated over 35 years to her community until the time of her retirement.

A longtime resident of the City of Beverly, Mrs. Auld and her husband enjoyed their retirement in Northport, Florida where they resided for 22 years. In Florida, Kathleen was a member of the Elk's Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed relaxing on the beach, soaking up the sun. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed crocheting and knitting for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Cathy Auld of Beverly, her sons, Richard B. Auld of Beverly and William Auld and his wife Jessica of Beverly, her grandchildren, Ashley and Robert Auld, both of Beverly, great-grandson, Ryan Melanson of Beverly, sister, Roberta Young and her husband Leigh of Rochester, NH and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late William and Richard Young.

ARRANGEMENTS: At the request of the family, all services are private. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) Danvers.
