Obituary

BOXFORD- Mrs. Carol Lee (Cretecos) Conklin 62, beloved wife of Richard F. Conklin Jr., died May 15th, 2017 at Mass General Hospital in Boston after a courageous battle with cystic fibrosis.

Born in Saugus, she was the daughter of Yvonne (Albanese) Cretecos and the late George A. Cretecos Sr, who passed away May 13th, 2017. She was raised and educated in Lynn and Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School.

A 40-year resident of the Town of Boxford, Carol was devoted to her family. She enjoyed providing a warm, loving home for her husband and children. She had a passion for animals, baking, gardening and sewing. She was truly a matriarch, who loved to host family gatherings and holidays. She was a nurturer who always went out of her way to help those in need. Her spirit of kindness and her giving nature will live on in the hearts of those she loved.

She lived with cystic fibrosis all while putting others before herself. She was happiest surrounded by her beloved husband, children, parents, pets and family, enjoying a family meal and always finishing with some ice cream, which was her favorite. She will be deeply missed.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Richard F. Conklin Jr. of Boxford, her daughters, Meghan Conklin of Boxford and Keri Ciofolo and her husband Matthew of Groveland, her son, Richard Conklin III and his wife Jessica of Boston, her mother, Yvonne (Albanese) Cretecos of Danvers, her siblings, George Cretecos Jr and his wife Karen of Loveland, CO, Lisa Dean and her husband Robert of Danvers and Mark Cretecos and his wife Tricia of Northport, FL and several nieces and nephews.
