PEABODY - Mrs. Maybeth P. (Paris) Oberti, 87, of Peabody, formerly of Boxford, MA beloved wife of the late John Oberti Jr, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Brooksby Continuing Care in Peabody.

Born in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Mary (Carroll) Paris. She was raised and educated in Manchester and was a graduate of Manchester High School. Maybeth continued her education and received her Bachelor's Degree from Plymouth Teachers College (now Plymouth State University) and her Master's Degree from Boston University.

Mrs. Oberti dedicated her professional career to education. She was a fourth grade teacher for over 30 years retiring from Spofford Pond School in Boxford in 1993. Teaching for her was a passion and she inspired her students, especially in math.

A loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, her grandchildren were her greatest passion. She spent a great deal of time involved in their many activities and watching them grow, which gave her great joy. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends.

Maybeth enjoyed keeping her mind active and was an avid reader and crossword puzzle solver. She had an affinity for all animals but had a special place in her heart for the canine friends and companions.

Surviving Maybeth are her daughters; Carol Grove of Topsfield, Anne Oberti of North Dighton and Ellen Casey and her husband William of Topsfield, her son John Oberti and his wife Janet of Litchfield, NH, her grandchildren; Shannon Grove, Barry Grove and his wife Michelle, Brian Oberti and his wife Rebecca, Nicholas Oberti, James Casey, Elizabeth Casey and her great-granddaughter, Lilly June Grove, her sister, Carol Charest of Manchester, NH and many nephews and nieces. She was also the grandmother of the late Michael Grove.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be held in St. Rose of Lima Parish, Park St., Topsfield on Saturday, March 17th at 10:30 A.M. A visiting hour will be held, prior to Mass from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the church. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Haverhill.
