NAPLES, FL – Mr. Arthur Wesley "Wes" Dacy, 80 of Naples, Florida and Marblehead, beloved husband of Joan (Wetmore) Hathaway died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family after a brief illness.

Born in Danvers, he was the son of the late Earl B. and Josephine (Chiplinski) Dacy. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of the former Holten High School. He continued his education attending Kimball Union Academy and graduated from the University of Vermont.

An honorably discharged veteran, he proudly served his country as a Captain in the United States Army.

Mr. Dacy had been employed as an assistant Vice President with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for 32 years until the time of his retirement.

A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Wes loved to spend time with his family. He had an outgoing and happy nature that endeared him to all and many of his friends were lifelong. He spent the last 25 years residing in Naples, Florida during the winter.

In addition to his wife Joan, Wes is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Dacy-Smith and her husband of Brighton, his sons, Jeffrey Dacy and his wife of Peabody and Andrew Dacy and his wife of Byfield, his seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in The O'Donnell Funeral Home, 46 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem, on Thursday October 27 from 10 AM to 12 PM (Noon). Burial is private. Assisting the family with arrangements is The O'Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq., (At Salem Common) Salem.
