WENHAM – Ms. Carol L. (LaBrecque) Harmony, 79, of Wenham, loving mother to Cheryl and Eric Harmony died Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House after a three year battle with C.O.P.D. disease.

Carol was born at home in Salem, MA on September 9th, 1937; she was the daughter of the late Beatrice (Therrien) and Irving LaBrecque. Her family moved to Danvers in 1942 where she resided until 1971 before moving to her final residence in Wenham with former husband, Ray Harmony, and their two children.

Carol shall always be remembered as a devoted, kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a constant source of trusted love, laughter and thoughtfulness to all of her extended family, friends and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She left behind a powerful legacy of devout loving relationships with family and friends that will last forever. All that knew her were the recipients of her loyalty, generosity, hardworking, dedication and love for playful get-togethers to share many laughs. Her dedication to business and career retired as recent April of 2016.

Her fondest memories included earlier years with family and friends at their condominium in Waterville Valley NH for skiing, golf and entertainment. Carol opened two small gift shops in Waterville and was also the owner of one of the original stores (Partridge Shoppes Inc.) that opened at Pickering Wharf, Salem, MA.

Carol offered her wisdom & devotion in many forms of volunteer work. She volunteered services at Waterville Valley, NH for Alpine World Cup Races and Cross County events. This included coordinating and providing housing for coaches and competitors from various countries among other responsibilities.

Carol was also a member of Fern croft Golf Club in Danvers, MA where she participated as a volunteer during the Boston Five Classic LPGA events. This also included volunteering at Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, MA, training associates over the LPGA responsibilities during the event.

Friends and family will always remember Carols' stories/exploits she told while taking trips to Europe and many other places along with the wonderful people she met and traveled with. She was a sports enthusiast, especially New England Patriots. She had a passion for cooking, entertaining and hosting dinner parties and social events

She is survived by her Daughter, Cheryl Rafizadeh of Chester, NY and her son, Eric Harmony of Wenham, MA, her granddaughter, Nikole Harmony and grandson, Darya Rafizadeh. Also surviving is her sisters Jean Dion & Marion Ainsworth of Las Vegas, Rosemary Churchill of Derry, NH, Theresa LaBrecque of Alabama, her former husband Raymond Harmony and many nieces and nephews. Carol leaves behind a very long list of lifetime friends and family that have been with her throughout the years.

Carol felt blessed for the love and joy over the years when spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Her last years were made comfortable living with her devoted son, Eric, and her grand-daughter Nikole.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Annunciation Cemetery, 155 Hobart Street, Danvers, at 11:15 A.M. A memorial gathering in her honor will be held at the Danversport Yacht Club from 12:00 (Noon) until 3:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Carol's memory to Care Dimensions/ Kaplan Family Hospice House, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
