SALEM- Mrs. Gloria J. (Solimeno) Jermyn 82, of Salem, beloved wife of John E. Jermyn, died Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Sunrise at Gardner Park in Peabody.

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Christina (Stenda) Solimeno. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School. Mrs. Jermyn continued her education graduating from Fazio's Beautician School in Lawrence.

Mrs. Jermyn had been employed for many years as an accounting clerk with the New England Telephone Company. She had also been associated with Webber's Department Store and was also as a waitress at the former Town Line Restaurant in Lynn. A talented beautician, Gloria had been the proprietor of The Fashion Cut Beauty Parlor for many years.

She was an avid world traveler; she enjoyed knitting, gardening and day trips trying her luck at Foxwoods Casinos. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother who will be deeply missed.

In addition to her husband, Gloria is survived by her sons, John Jermyn and his wife Cheryl of Salem, Anthony Jermyn of Salem and Richard Jermyn of Dover, N.H., her grandchildren, Jaclyn, Jake, Julia, Cole and Jack Jermyn and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Mary Mitchell and Rocco and Anthony Solimeno.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in The O'Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem, Friday at 12 noon. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Visiting hours prior to the funeral from 10 to 12 noon.
