HAMILTON- Mrs. Laura Maria (Telles) (Bueno) Nagel, 80, of Hamilton, beloved wife of the late Harold Nagel died September 27, 2016 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, she was the daughter of the late Marcio and Marilia (Telles) Bueno. She was raised and educated in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and immigrated to the United States to New Bedford, in 1950. She continued her education at Mount Ida College and the University of New Hampshire.

Mrs. Nagel had been employed for many years as a Language Instructor with Berlitz in New York and Boston.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Laura dedicated her life to her family. As a military family, Laura resided in many different places all over the world including Nice, France, Carmel, Ca, Norfolk, Va, North Kingston, R.I., Waterford, Ct. and Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Eventually Laura and her husband Harold made their family home in Hamilton in 1982, where they have remained for many years. Finally in her last year, Laura resided at the John Bertram Home in Salem. At each stop along her life's journey Laura always made a warm and welcoming home for her family. She was an avid reader, Bridge player and loved to spend time at the beach, skiing and sailing with her family. She was a true linguist, having spoken many languages and was always proud that English was her 3rd language. She had a deep love and passion for cooking which she passed on to her children. She was truly dedicated to her family and will be deeply missed.

Laura is survived by her three children, Michael Nagel and his wife Shelly Orenstein of Toledo, Ohio, Jennifer Nagel-Vazquez of Virginia Beach, Va, and H. Nicholas Nagel of Danvers, her five grandchildren, J. Alexander Vazquez, Justin Vazquez, Leah Nagel, Marc Nagel, and Luke Nagel and her brother Mazzini Bueno of Lebanon, N.H., and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Saturday, October 1st at 1 P.M.. Relatives and friends and anyone who wishes to express their condolences are invited. Visiting hours prior to the service from 11 to 1 P.M.
