SALEM- Ms. Lisa Marie Ronan Murphy, 55, of Salem, died unexpectedly Sunday, December 25th, 2016 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief battle with cancer.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Elaine (Murphy) Ronan. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1979.

Lisa had a big heart and was willing to help anyone in need. She had a passion for animals and would always take in a stray if it were in need. She was a unique person with a vibrant and artistic personality, had a kind soul and was loved by many.

Lisa is survived by her brother, Edward N. Ronan Jr and his wife Jo Ann of Rowley, her niece, Caitlin Ronan and her fiancé Josh Monahan of Salem and many extended family and friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in The O'Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq., (At Salem Common) Salem, Friday, Dec. 30th at 8 P.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial is private. Visiting hours prior to the service from 4 to 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Lisa's memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
