SALEM- Mrs. Mildred A. "Millie" (Merluzzo) Redican, 84, of Salem, beloved wife of the late Robert Redican, died Sunday, November 22, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Santa (Uccello) Merluzzo. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of the Bowditch Grammar School and Salem High School.

Mrs. Redican had been employed as a Tax Examiner for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Revenue for many years, until the time of her retirement.

A lifelong resident of the City of Salem, Millie enjoyed the sights and activities Salem has to offer, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed being with her family and will be deeply missed.

Millie is survived by her daughter-in-law Dianne Redican of Salem with whom she resided, her grandchildren Jeffrey Redican and Christopher Redican of Salem, greatgrandchild Jacob Redican of Salem, her sister, Pauline Rosenberg of Salem and her brother, Joseph Merluzzo of New York and several nieces and nephews including Sandra Vitale of Hamilton and Elsie Vasapolli of Beverly and her daughter Diane McCarthy and her husband Edward of Hamilton, her grandchildren, Francis McCarthy and Anna McCarthy. She was also the mother of the late Leonard Redican and sister of the late Bartol Merluzzo.

ARRANGEMENTS: A private graveside service was held in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Assisting the family with the arrangements is The O'Donnell Funeral Home, 46 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Millie's memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
