SALEM- Mrs. Susan (Zampino) Baccari, 97, of Salem, beloved wife of the late Carlo C. Baccari, died Monday, August 1st, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Maria (Attuno) Zampino. She was raised and educated in Salem and attended Salem Public Schools.

A loving wife and mother Susan raised and cared for a large and loving family. She took great pride in providing a warm and caring home for her entire family. Later in life she had worked as a clerk for over 25 years at the Ye Old Pepper Companie in Salem.

A lifelong resident of the City of Salem, Susan was an active and faithful communicant of the former St. Mary's Italian Church in Salem. She was a member and Secretary of the Veturia Romana Lodge #1200, Order of the Sons of Italy, Salem. She enjoyed Bingo, Baking, games of chance and traveling to the casino with her friends yet above all else Susan was happiest while spending time with her beloved grandchildren and family. She had a faithful group of friends and a large loving family that cared for her deeply, she will be dearly missed.

Susan is survived by her children, Camille Noel Belle, Larry Baccari and his longtime companion Marsha Conway, Frank Baccari and his longtime companion Berenice Quinn, Marie Leger and her husband Roger and Ann Baccari all of Salem, her 19 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and many great, great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Rose and Theresa Zampino.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held from The O'Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq., (At Salem Common) Salem, Friday, August 5th at 11 A.M. followed by her funeral Mass in Ste. Anne's Church, Jefferson Ave., Salem at 11:30 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours Friday, prior to the funeral from 8:30 until 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Susan's memory to the North Shore Elder Services, 300 Rosewood Dr., #200, Danvers MA 01923 or to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
